Location : Dubai, UAE
Salary Range : AED 20000 + Bonus + Benefits
Essential Job Functions (But not limited to):
- Responsible to manage the day-to-day operations of the department in accordance with provisions of company’s claims procedures and provide the necessary guidance and direction.
- Lead and manage a team of claims adjusters, ensuring they follow best practices and maintain high standards of service. Provide training and development to the claims team to improve their efficiency and skills. Set performance targets and monitor team performance.
- Responsible for managing, directing, and implementing the claims settlements in a smooth manner to avoid legal risks.
- Oversee the investigation of claims, including liaising with assessors, third-party adjusters, and repair shops for effective management of claims expense ratios.
- Takes up cost reduction and cost control measures on a continuous basis including optimum utilization of resources within his area of operation
- Prepare and interpret monthly loss statistics, claims settled and outstanding claims reports to identify risk areas.
- Ensure that all settlements are in conformity with Central Bank of authority limits and are supported by adequate documentation.
- Responsible for approval of work orders, LPOs control and claims settlement in accordance with Company’s authority limits.
Qualification for Position:
- Educational Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in insurance, business, or a related field is typically required. Professional certifications (e.g., ACII, CII) can be a plus.
- Experience: At least 12+ years of experience in motor claims handling, including 3-4 years in a managerial role.
- Knowledge of Insurance Laws: In-depth understanding of UAE insurance laws and regulations, particularly motor insurance.
- Skills: Strong leadership, team management, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in using claims management software and data analysis tools is beneficial.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential, and Arabic can be an advantage.
