Our Client is seeking to hire a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join with one of group logistics client team in KSA.
Job description
Implement financial policies, processes, accounting standards and other financial controls in the branch overseeing financial activities of freight cargo, shipping, ground cargo and general trading.
Finalize the monthly financial reporting by planning and ensuring timely month end closing of all accounting books.
Manage, mentor, and assist the finance team in the branch, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement ensuring the finance team is in compliance with the company policies and procedures.
Supervise company bank account, monitor day to day bank activities, bank account access controls and reconciliation of bank account statements periodically.
Review purchase activities, review and approve all supplier petty cash payments in line with Head Office / Regional Accounts Manager’s instructions.
Oversee and execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing process, including the preparation and review of journal entries to accurately reflect financial transactions and ensure timely completion.
Responsible to prepare branch financial Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash flow, Profit & Loss and Aging reports.
Plan and assist in internal audit process and manage queries professionally and diligently.
Ensure invoices are managed properly; contingent liabilities are timely paid, prompt collection of receivable, and debt management in order to maintain branch financial liquidity.
Supervise the filing and compliance of VAT, external audit, trading activities for the branch in order to minimize financial and legal risks.
Qualifications:
B-Com graduate / Post Graduation in Commerce or MBA in Finance is preferred.
4-5 Years experience in large trading companies managing multiple entities with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
GCC experience.
Proven behavioral competencies of Integrity, Honesty, Ethical Behavior, Responsibility and Reliability
Good organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively.
Knowledge of financial and accounting standards, software applications, spread sheets and analytics.
