HEAD OF UNDERWRITING (Non-Motor/General Insurance) – Dubai

Location: Business Bay, Dubai
Salary : AED 30,000+ Benefits
ACII / AIII / FIII certification is mandatory

Job Summary:

Lead the Underwriting team which managed Non-Motor / General lines ( Property & Fire, Liability, Marine, Engineering, Credit, Travel etc.) whilst ensuring compliance of underwriting guidelines with objective in achieving optimum profitability and efficiency.
Able to revamp the existing products as well develop the new products.

Qualification for Position:

Min 15yrs of experience out of which 5yrs in a Managerial role in Insurance Underwriting with a capability of managing a team of 5 to 6 senior managers
Good Analytical skills and ability to make decisions independently.
Management of Underwriting Dept. Providing leadership, support, and guidance to the underwriting team .
Assessment and analysis of the risks for acceptance. Providing quotations for all classes of Insurance (rating and providing, terms, conditions, warranties, exclusions, deductibles etc.).
Leadership Skills, Problem Solving ability, Technical Knowledge, Presentation.

Graduate or Postgraduate.
ACII / AIII / FIII certification is mandatory
Relevant General Lines / Non-Motor Underwriting experience in a managerial role.
Excellent Written Correspondence and verbal communication.
