Position – General Underwriter (Property, Casualty, Marine, Motors)

Salary : AED 7,000 – AED 10,000

Location : Dubai

Qualifications :Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Attested certificate required)

• Our client, an Insurance Brokerage Service providers are looking to hire for a General Underwriter, who has experience in underwriting across multiple lines (like property, casualty, marine, motors)

Key Responsibilities

• Minimum 3 years of experience in General underwriting
• Assess and underwrite insurance applications across multiple lines including property, casualty, motor, and liability.
• Analyze risk exposures and supporting documentation to determine underwriting decisions and premium rates.
• Work closely with insurers to negotiate underwriting terms, clarify risk details, and ensure alignment with policy requirements.
• Negotiate underwriting terms and conditions with insurers on behalf of clients.
• Ensure all underwriting complies with internal guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance products, market trends, and competitor offerings.
• Support claims teams by reviewing complex or disputed claims where underwriting decisions may impact outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, clients, brokers, and internal teams.
• Identify and communicate emerging risks and trends to relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor compliance with underwriting standards, internal policies, regulatory requirements, and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations.
• Conduct necessary due diligence in line with KYC (Know Your Customer) policies to verify client identities and detect potential financial crime risks.
